1/2 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 cup mashed bananas
stir in:
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Icing
1/3 cup butter
3 cups confectioners sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- Mix wet ingredients. Mix dry ingredients. Combine.
- Chill for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Bake on greased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes
- Move to cooling rack.
- For icing, brown butter in a saucepan, add confectioners sugar and vanilla.
